Route 2: The Grouse Grind
The Grouse Grind is an extremely popular hike in North Vancouver that spans from the base to the top of Grouse Mountain. From beginning to end, the trail is 2.5 kilometers, but gains 800 meters in elevation! The Grouse Grind is certainly not a leisurely hike; it is important to ensure that you have adequate food, water, and clothing before embarking on the hike. While hiking up the mountain, there are breaks in the trees where you can see beautiful scenery. However, the best view is from the chalet at the top!
Fun fact: When I was hiking the Grouse Grind on a summer day in 2019, I saw our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the trail!
