Route 4: McKay Creek Park Trail
This trail is great for sunny days as the trees provide lots of shade!
McKay Creek Park was one of my favourite places to walk this semester. Its close location to my home made it easily accessible, even on days when I did not have much time for a walk. The creek next to the trail provides a refreshing way to cool off on hot days! Also, the trail is quite well-travelled, so you never feel as though you are alone in the forest. Some areas of minor hills on the hike make it slightly more physically demanding than the other walks I went on. The trail I like to hike on splits off into many other trails and pathways, which gives many opportunities for walks of varying length and difficulty.
